It is necessary to increase healthcare spending in the coming years and consider its optimal distribution, said Musa Guliyev, Chairman of the Labor and Social Policy Committee, at a joint meeting of the Milli Majlis Committees on Natural Resources, Energy and Ecology, Labor and Social Policy, Health, International Relations and Interparliamentary Relations, APA reports.
The Chairman of the Committee said that healthcare and medical services are the state's responsibility, not just by increasing spending: "If the private sectors support this responsibility, we can solve the problems faster. The birth rate is decreasing all over the world, and the number of elderly people is increasing. We may face a problem in the labor market in 10-15 years. We must adopt a state program on demographic development now. This is important so that we do not face the problems of a decrease in the number of the young generation."
