The restoration of residential settlements continues in Azerbaijan's Fuzuli district, which is being rebuilt after liberation from occupation, as part of the Great Return program, APA's Karabakh bureau reports.
Alongside Dovlatyarli village, large-scale construction is also progressing rapidly in Pirahmadli village. A modern residential settlement is being established in the village for its residents, who spent many years longing for their native homeland.
Tarana Guliyeva, Head of the Public Relations Department of the Restoration, Construction and Management Service for the Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavand districts, said that construction under the reconstruction project in Pirahmadli village is continuing in line with the planned schedule.
According to her, the project covers a total area of more than 89.63 hectares. It envisages the construction of 347 individual houses, as well as eight four-story residential buildings comprising 277 apartments.
Guliyeva noted that, at the initial stage, 280 individual houses are being built on an area of 74.69 hectares, and 146 of them are planned to be completed by the end of this year.
She said that the first phase envisages the resettlement of 280 families to the village. Alongside the residential houses, construction is continuing on a school, kindergarten, medical station, and administrative building. Preparatory work is also underway for the construction of internal roads, engineering and utility networks, and other infrastructure projects.
Once the reconstruction work in Pirahmadli is completed, one of the next groups of returning residents is expected to be relocated to the village. As a result, residents who were separated from their homeland for many years will return to their native homes and rebuild their lives in modern conditions.
