Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has received Dirk Lölke, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry told APA.
Ambassador Dirk Lölke presented copies of his credentials to Minister Jeyhun Bayramov. The minister congratulated the ambassador on the commencement of his diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan and wished him success in his work.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the current state and prospects of Azerbaijan-Germany relations, as well as issues related to political dialogue, economic and trade ties, energy security, green energy, industry, transport and communications, and humanitarian and cultural cooperation.
It was emphasized that the recent visit of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, to the Federal Republic of Germany laid the foundation for a new stage in bilateral relations. The importance of the Joint Declaration on the Strategic Agenda for Bilateral Partnership, the establishment of the Azerbaijan-Germany Business Council, the further development of existing cooperation mechanisms, and the continuation of high-level mutual contacts was also underlined.
