London to host international conference â€œAzerbaijan 2008: on the way of modernization â€œ

Baku. Mahbuba Gasimbayliâ€“APA. International conference â€œAzerbaijan 2008: on the way of modernizationâ€œ initiated by Strategic Research Center under the President of Azerbaijan Republic, London Information Network on Conflicts and State-building (LINKS) and International Institute for Strategic Studies will be held in London on June 20, Strategic Research Center told APA.
Elnur Aslanov, Chairman of the Political Analyses and Information Provision Department of the Presidentâ€™s Office, Director of SRC Elkhan Nuriyev, Fakhraddin Gurbanov, Azerbaijani Ambassador to UK, Azer Amiraslanov, Deputy Chairman of MM Standing Commission on Economic Policy, Shahmar Movsumov, Executive Director of State Oil Fund, Representatives of NGOs will attend the conference. Jose-Luis Herrero, the Head of OSCE Office in Baku, Director-General and Chief Executive of the IISS, Dennis Sammut, Executive Director of LINKS, Economist Intelligence Unit, London School of Economics, Representatives of NATO Parliamentary Assembly, international organizations, business and finance and accounting organizations, representatives of Great Britain, experts and politicians will attend the conference. Lectures will be heard and debates will be conducted at the conference.
