Elmar Mammadyarov meets with UNICEF outgoing representative in Azerbaijan Hanaa Singer

Baku. Lachin Sultanovaâ€“APA. Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov has met with the UNICEF outgoing representative Hanaa Singer on the occasion of ending of her mission. Press-Service of the Foreign Ministry told APA. Ms. Singer said she had witnessed a number of changes in Azerbaijan and highly appreciated the achievements reached in the protection of childrenâ€™s rights. The UNICEF representative said increasing of development index of human resources, reducing of child mortality, raise of child welfare by the Government, development of education and improvement of legislation on the childrenâ€™s rights had a positive impact on the countryâ€™s status. Singer appreciated Azerbaijan as a model country in this field.
In his turn, Elmar Mammadyarov said human resources were important factor for the development of society and the Government paid special attention to this issue and social and education reforms. The Minister spoke about the complications created by the Armenian aggression and appreciated the UNICEF activity for the refugees.
