Ali Ahmadov: Nongovernmental organizations of Azerbaijan may do alternative count of votes in the presidential elections

â€œLegal base has been formed for holding democratic, fair and transparent presidential elections in Azerbaijan. The authorities demonstrate political will to ensure holding fair elections. In this respect, existence of legal base is very important to involve NGOs to the process of counting of votes. A number of international organizations offered to establish the related legal base during the previous elections. This point is also covered in the Electoral Code, it means that the recommendations of the international organization have been taken to consideration and it should be regarded as the expression of the governmentâ€™s will,â€ he said.
Ali Ahmadov considers that NGOs developed in Azerbaijan and could undertake more responsible task during the elections.
