Ali Hasanov: We have no time to discuss the Electoral Code again

He said that the preparation for the elections should start and election commission should begin operating.
â€œThe participation of the opposition along with the Venice Commission in the discussions had been ensured before the bill on annexes and amendments was adopted. Unfortunately, despite new proposals, there was divergence between the opposition and government and no agreement was reached on the composition of election commissions. As political parties did not reach agreement on this issue, we offered to preserve the present formula in connection with the election commissions. The work basing on this formula continues,â€ he said.
Ali Hasanov considers that some members of Venice Commission and PACE give assessment to the Electoral Code under the influence of some political forces.
