Zamina Dunyamaliyeva: â€œRasul Guliyev should have supported Ilham Aliyev, not Isa Gambar in 2003â€¦â€

Maybe the party leader will not like my views, but I think that Rasul Guliyev should appeal to the President, say that he will not participate in the elections in Azerbaijan and ask to allow him to return to the countryâ€, Open Society Party leader Rasul Guliyevâ€™s advisor Zamina Dunyamaliyeva told APA. According to her, Rasul Guliyev, who is in migration for 11 years, always served the people.
â€œBut as everything he did for his people and his relatives was not important, I will openly say that he should make confessionsâ€, she said.
Asked whether such an appeal was discussed in the Open Society Party, Zamina Dunyamaliyeva said:
â€œWhat is a party?! Rasul Guliyev faces unjust accusations, and I do not know whom the party supports opposition, government or Rasul Guliyev. Rasul Guliyevâ€™s relatives spread gossips. Who will have these discussions in the party? Maybe Akif Shahbazov will do it? Rasul Guliyev should think over his friends and enemies. Dunyamaliyeva said Guliyevâ€™s belief in the false friend led him to this situation. â€œToday he has nobody next to him. His nephew once being his dependant makes public his private letters. Where can be the harm if two brothers are consulting about the arrival in Azerbaijan? There was my letter too, but Ilgar took it and published on behalf of Telman Guliyev. I wrote to Rasul Guliyev that he should take reasons from all theseâ€. Guliyevâ€™s adviser touched upon the 2008 presidential elections too. â€œADP Political Council discussed the supporting of candidacy of Isa Gambar and Etibar Mammadov during the 2003 presidential elections. I voted against both of them. I said that I would support Ilham Aliyev than support them. I donâ€™t avoid anything and today it becomes clear that no correct decision was made in that time. Rasul Guliyev had to support Ilham Aliyev, but not Isa Gambar in 2003. Today Isa Gambarov leaves his campaign aside and is busy with damaging of Rasul Guliyevâ€™s personality. Therefore, I think that he will make this even if belated step this yearâ€.
ACP chairman Akif Shahbazov reacted to the Dunyamaliyevaâ€™s proposal and told APA that Guliyev should be provided with opportunities to return to Azerbaijan. â€œRasul Guliyev made indirect addresses on this issue. We can not take no heed of Zamina Dunyamaliyevaâ€™s thoughts. It is a possible option. The partyâ€™s leader is free to address someoneâ€. Shahbazov said ACP would make effort for returning of Rasul Guliyev to Azerbaijan before the decision to join the presidential elections. Regarding the Dunyamaliyevaâ€™s thoughts about ACP and him, Shahbazov said he had no intentions to answer these questions yet.
