Baku. Lachin Sultanova –APA. Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe confirmed the agenda of the June 23-27 session at the bureau meeting in Stockholm. Head of Azerbaijani delegation to PACE Samad Seyidov attended the meeting. He said draft resolution on the activity of democratic institutions of Azerbaijan would be discussed on June 24, the second day of the session. Seyidov said discussions would be held on the basis of report submitted by the co-rapporteurs of PACE Monitoring Committee Andres Herkel and Eugenia Zivkova. Seyidov said he believed that the discussions would be held in normal conditions. He expressed opinion on the first version of the Monitoring Committee’s resolution adopted in Kiev. He said some issues in the draft were put as advises and some were put as demands. “The document will be discussed at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe too. There are pressures on Azerbaijan in the document and some points against Azerbaijan were overstated and it is not accidentally. The presidential elections are on agenda and keen reaction of international organizations, including the Council of Europe on the eve of elections should be estimated as a pressure on Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan is ready to fulfill all issues showed in this document within its interests and will expressly react to all issues out of its interests. All documents of the Council of Europe and Monitoring committee are non-binding despite a number of demands in its points”.
