Agenda of European Conference of Presidents of Parliaments announced

The Conference is composed of Speakers and Presidents of the Parliaments of the Member States of the Council of Europe; parliaments enjoying observer status with PACE and international parliamentary assemblies.
The Conference will deal with two essential challenges to Europeâ€™s future: finding better ways to involve civil society more closely in the political life of our nations; and having the democratic, Human Rights and rule of law values that underpin all we do to find clearer expression in our daily policies, at national and European level. Over 300 participants will attend the event.
PACE President LluÃs Maria de Puig will address the event. Presidents of Hungarian National Assembly, Swedish Parliament, Albanian National Assembly and Netherlands Senate will make a report at the event.
Secretaries General of Parliament are expected to meet separately within the framework of the event. First European Conference of Presidents of Parliaments was held in 1975. European Conference of Presidents of Parliaments is held every two years.
