Safa Mirzayev: â€œSeveral disputed points cropped up during the preparation of annexes and amendments to the Electoral Codeâ€

I have done serious work in this directionâ€, said Safa Mirzayev, Chief of the Parliamentary Administration during the discussions of annexes and amendments to the Electoral Code at the Parliamentâ€™s commission, APA reports. Mirzayev said several disputed points cropped up during the preparation of annexes and amendments to the document and the most advisable was included in the project after the long discussions. He said the point about the determination of 10 million AZN fund for the presidential candidates didnâ€™t have to create any concerns. â€œThis sum is shown in the document as the highest limit, but this fund can contain one million or 500 thousand AZN. Three per cent of this money should be put in deposit after specifying of the fundâ€™s sumâ€. Safa Mirzayev said another disputed issue related to the organization of voting of the military servicemen. He said if information about military servicemen would be included in the votersâ€™ lists in poll stations, enemy could get it. â€œOn the other hand, the expression of individual will in isolation wards is also the problem. How will it be organized for the people detained there? It is very difficult issue, but we should organize their free participation in the voting process. Special instructions and decisions of the Central Election Commission will probably be made on this issueâ€.
