Moscow hosts meeting of CIS Foreign Ministersâ€™ Council

15 issues have been included into the agenda of the meeting. Here include preparation for the 65th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, increasing efficiency of work of the TV and radio company Mir, plan of multilevel foreign-political consultations within the framework of CIS, confirmation of the Action Plan for 2008 and other issues. The issue on the appointment of new commander of the forces carrying out peacekeeping mission in Abkhazia will also be considered at the meeting.
Major-General Sergei Chernomirdin has been nominated for this post.
Foreign ministers will also approve the agenda of the meeting of CIS Council of Heads of Governments.
The place and date of the next meeting of CIS Foreign Ministersâ€™ Council will be determined at the end of the meeting.
