Musavat Party Assembly is meeting today, APA reports. Elections held for vacancies in the Assembly, issues on social-political situation and the reports of Assembly commissions will be discussed at the meeting chaired by Sulhaddin Akbar.
Akbar said that 65 nominated candidacies for28 vacancies. The Assembly has 138 members at present. 70 candidates’ winning vote is necessary. If the candidates couldn’t gain 50+1, they won’t be represented in the Assembly. In this case, re-elections will be held at next sessions.
The Party leader Isa Gambar said he will support women and some people who nominated themselves for the Assembly. The Assembly meeting paused at 13.00. Secret ballot to Assembly membership is being held at present. The votes will be counted after break and the leader of the party will report on socio-political situation. /APA/
