CIS Heads of States summit held in Minsk

Today, the summit of Commonwealth Independent States was held in Belarus National Library, Minsk APA reports quoting Azertac.
Leader of 11 countries, as well as Prime Minister Deputy of Turkmenistan, participated in the summit. President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko made a speech reminding the fifteenth anniversary of CIS on December 6.
“A lot of work has been done during this period. But a number of issues are still unsolved. That is why all of us should take more active part to enlarge integration in CIS�. He pointed out that the trade turnover between Belarus and CIS in 2006 is over $1 billion.
CIS chairman and president of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev noted that the aim of the summit is to discuss different documents and exchange of views.
CIS Executive Committee assistant Vladimir Rushaylo said that the draft document includes states’ offers and assignments of CIS administration.
As a rule, the draft document had been discussed in CIS Council of Foreign Affairs Ministers and all offers been taken into account.
