Parliament approved draft law of â€œState budget for 2007â€?

The minister said that 148 staff members will be employed, 2 new sectors will be created and each of the parliamentarians will have an assistant. 1.7million manats will be allocated for this.
Besides, 8.7 million manats will be allocated for the construction of a second building of parliament. The minister noted that 500 000 million manats will be allocated for local authorities, 5 million to improve the living standards of servicemen, 6 million manats for prevention of emergencies. 2 million manats will be allocated for establishing of regional centers of ombudsman in Sheki, Guba and Ganja and regional center of Economic Court in Nakhchivan. He said 5.3 million will be allocated for raising the salary of National Science Academy officers, 1.1million manats for raising the scholarship of the students studying abroad. Milli Majlis Economic Policy Standing Commission Chief Ziyad Samadzadeh approved that the parliamentariansâ€™ offers were taken into consideration.
The state budget for the next year was approved after the discussions. The budget related bills except amendments and changes to the Tax Code were also approved.
Income of State budget for 2007 constitutes 5 335.7 million manats and expenditure 5.714.7 million manats. The budget deficit is 379 million manats. /APA/
