Vladimir Putin: Weâ€™ll achieve to double trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia

Congratulating Ilham Aliyev on his visit to Brussels Vladimir Putin noted that he is interested in his colleagueâ€™s views on the relations with EU.
â€œWe are glad with the documents signed concerning Azerbaijanâ€™s participation in the European energy projects. Russia-EU summit on the energy partnership will be held in Finland soon and I am very interested in Mr.Aliyevâ€™s dialogue with our European colleagues.
Presid4ent Putin noted that the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia reached $1bn.
â€œI think weâ€™ll achieve to double the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia in the nearest future. Russia and Azerbaijan actively cooperates in the energy sphere. Baku is ready to be one of the cofounders of the Russian oil exchange. Weâ€™ll also discuss the transportation of the Russian gas to Azerbaijan,â€? the Russian president said.
Ilham Aliyev said that the relations between Azerbaijan and Russia are on the high level.
â€œAzerbaijan and Russia actively cooperates in political, economic and humanitarian spheres. Positive solution of the problems will strengthen the relations between our countries and influence the stabilization of situation in the region,â€? Ilham Aliyev said.
The presidents also discussed preparations for summit of CIS presidents to be held in Minsk on November 28, the situation in South Caucasus, the process of settlement of Nagorno Garabagh conflict, the ways of regional security, topical international questions. /APA/
