Union of Azerbaijanis in Spain has appealed to the world community over the death of representatives of media as a result of the mine explosion, State Committee on Work with the Diaspora told APA.
The Union of Azerbaijanis of Spain has addressed an appeal to international organizations in connection with the tragic incident that took place on June 4, 2021, in Kalbajar.
Head of the organization Vahid Imanov noted that the statement emphasizes that As a result of mine explosion buried by the Armenian side in the territory of Kalbajar district, operator of Azerbaijan Television Siraj Abishov and correspondent of the Azerbaijan State News Agency Maharram Ibrahimov, as well as representative of the district executive power Arif Aliyev were killed and four people were injured.
This terrible event was assessed as a tragic consequence of Armenia's disregard for international conventions and agreements reached, and its refusal to hand over mine maps to Azerbaijan.
The Union of Azerbaijanis in Spain called on the international community not to be indifferent to Armenia's inadmissible behavior, to demand from Armenia to hand over mine maps to Azerbaijan, and to comply with its obligations under international law.
