Member of the Board of Directors of Israel-Azerbaijan International Association Mikhail Agarunov passes away

Mikhail Agarunov, Member of the Board of Directors of Israel-Azerbaijan International Association, Chairman of Council of Elders has died at age 87.

Mikhail Agarunov was born in December 1936 in Baku.

Mikhail Agarunov, who was repatriated in 2004 to Israel, was elected as the member of the Board of Directors of Israel-Azerbaijan International Association in 2006.

He was a representative of the 10th General Assembly of the World Jewish Congress, the constituent congresses of the Eurasian Jewish Congress, the World Congress of Russian-speaking Jews, and the World Congress of Mountain Jews.

He was awarded with the Republic of Azerbaijan’s “Tereqqi” and “For service in Diaspora activity” medals.
