A ceremony was held in the city of Los Angeles of the U.S. dedicated to the anniversary of National Leader of the people of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev's death, Consulate General of the Republic of Azerbaijan told APA.
At the ceremony held in one of the oldest mosques in California, Islamic Center Of Inglewood with the initiative and support of the Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Los Angeles, it was noted that as a result of the National Leader's visionary policy, the state independence developed in Azerbaijan, religious stability was strengthened, and relations with the Muslim world were contributed. During the National Leader's leadership, the conditions created for people to freely practice all religions in Azerbaijan and its contribution to the interreligious dialogue were discussed.
President of the Islamic Center of Inglewood Javed Bava also spoke at the event and shared his positive impressions about the environment of interreligious tolerance that he observed during his visit to Azerbaijan.
