Azerbaijani-origin former MP passed away in Türkiye

Former member of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (GNAT) and of Azerbaijani origin, Yucel Artantash passed away after after suffering from prolonged illness, the State Committee for Work with the Diaspora told APA.

Note that Yucel Artantash was born in 1952 in Ighdir. In 2002, he was elected as a member of the 22nd term (2002-2007) of GNAT and served as the deputy chairman of the Türkiye-Azerbaijan Interparliamentary Friendship Group.

Yucel Artantash was awarded the "Shohrat" (Glory) Order by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, for his contributions to the solidarity of the global Azerbaijani community.
