The victims of the tragedy were commemorated in Hillerod, Denmark on the initiative of Anakhanim Huseynova, deputy chairman of Motherland Society on February 23. Photo stand and documentary film on Khojaly genocide were demonstrated at the event.

A number of events on the 16th anniversary of Khojaly genocide were held in Izmir, Turkey. Azerbaijanis studying in Izmir, Azerbaijani Culture House and Solidarity Society organized the events. E-mails and faxes were sent to Turkish parliamentarians asking the parliament to recognize Khojaly tragedy as genocide.

The statement was read for media. Photo exhibition on Khojaly genocide was organized. CDs and brochures were delivered to local residents and participants. Live broadcasts on tragedy will be organized in Sky TV channel on February 25 and in TRT Int TV channel on February 27 in the framework of the events carried out in Izmir. The conferences will be held in various departments of Ege and Dokuz Eylul Universities. Azerbaijani Society in Dubai held commemorative event on 16th anniversary of Khojaly genocide in United Arab Emirates on February 23.The feature films â€Prayer†and “ Khojaly massacre “prepared by Heydar Aliyev Foundation were shown in the event. Five-volume book “Realities of Karabakh “was presented to attendees. The article on Khojaly genocide was published in “Al-Bayan’ newspaper in Dubai. Azerbaijani Cultural Center in Switzerland held 2-hour protest meeting in front of Armenian embassy on February 23.Participants demonstrated the photos of people who were killed during genocide, especially photos of children and lit 613 candles for the memory of victims. The statement which adopted at the end of meeting was sent to Armenian embassy in Switzerland and Swiss Parliament. More 500 leaflets on Khojaly genocide were delivered among local population in the event.
