Events are held in various countries of world on January 20 â€“ national mourning day, press service of State Committee on work with Azerbaijanis Living Abroad told APA.
Victims of January 20 tragedy were commemorated in Azerbaijani Language and Culture School operating in Switzerland, one school day was dedicated to January events. Following this, teachers, pupils and parents of the school visited Parliament of Switzerland. Azerbaijani Cultural Group in Manisa city of Turkey held blood donation action on 18th anniversary of January 20 tragedy. A lot of volunteers participated in the action. Event devoted to the tragedy will be held in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus at the initiative of Economic-Cultural Cooperation Center on January 18, scientific-practical conference in Georgia at the initiative of Society â€œGeorgia is my Motherlandâ€, commemoration in Uzbekistan at the initiative of Associations of Azerbaijan Cultural Centers, conference in Kazakhstan at the initiative of â€œFriendshipâ€ Azerbaijan Cultural Center. Ukrainian Azerbaijanis Congress will organize commemoration and roundtable in this country on the tragedy. /APA/
