Tragedy of January 20 to be marked in many countries
Japan-Azerbaijan Friendship Society will organize a commemorative event in the conference hall of Osaka University, teachers and students of the university will be informed about the tragedy.
The tragedy of January 20 will also be commemorated in the Kingdom of Thailand, Islamabad city of Pakistan, Sidney city of Australia, New Zealand, Dogu Akdeniz University in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Marneuli city of Georgia, Azerbaijani Cultural Centers Association in Uzbekistan, Astana city of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijani Diaspora organization in Kyrgyzstan and some cities of Russian Federation. Azerbaijani embassy in Russia and Congress of World Azerbaijanis will organize a commemorative event in the assembly hall of Baku cinema in Moscow.
Ukrainian Congress of Azerbaijanis will organize roundtable in Kyiv and regional bodies of Congress in Kharkov, Donetsk, Dnepropetrovsk and Nikolaev regions will hold commemorative events. Congress of Belarus-Azerbaijani communities will commemorate the victims of 20 January tragedy in Minsk. Azerbaijanis living in Europe will mark the 18th anniversary of January 20 tragedy. Commemorative events will be marked in Estonia, Hungary, Moldova, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden, Germany, France, Netherlands and Canada. Houston-Baku Sister City Association, Azerbaijan Society of America, Azerbaijani community in Houston from Azerbaijani Diasporas in the US will participate in the events on 20 January tragedy. Azerbaijani American Council in Los-Angeles will hold commemorative event along with Consulate General in this city./APA/
