Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis marked in many countries

An event initiated by Azerbaijani embassy in the US was organized in Holiday Inn hotel, Washington, on occasion of Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis and New Year. About 300 Azerbaijanis, representatives of Diaspora organization and foreign guests attended the event. Azerbaijani ambassador to the US Yashar Aliyev congratulated the participants on holidays.
Book â€œI believe in my Azerbaijanâ€ by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev was presented in the event organized by Azerbaijani embassy in Moldova and Congress of Azerbaijanis. It was noted that Azerbaijani Diaspora also played role in the expansion of friendship relations between Moldova and Azerbaijan. Over 5000 Azerbaijanis live in Moldova now.
The Day of Solidarity was also marked in Uzbekistan. Azerbaijanis living in Dashkent, Bukhara also attended the event. It was spoken about the history of Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis in the holiday event held in Abu Dabi, the capital of United Arab Emirates. Azerbaijani Embassy in Latvia held event in Riga on holiday. Azerbaijani ambassador to Latvia Tofig Zulfugarov addressing the event held in Sunday School of â€œOjagâ€ Cultural Center of Latvia Azerbaijanis spoke about the role of the holiday in the solidarity of World Azerbaijanis.
Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis was also marked in Islamabad. Azerbaijani ambassador to Pakistan Eynulla Madatli addressing the holiday event spoke about the essence of this day and friendship relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan.
Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis was also marked in Belarus. Azerbaijani Embassy in this country organized concert on the holiday in Belarus State Philharmonic Society. /APA/
