Baku to host 11th Friendship, Brotherhood, and Cooperation Congress of Turkic States and Communities, November 17-19

The 11th Friendship, Brotherhood, and Cooperation Congress of Turkic States and Communities will be held in Baku on November 17-19. Press service of State Committee on Affairs with Azerbaijanis Living Abroad told APA that the aim of the event is to develop friendship, brotherhood and cooperation relations among the Turkic states and communities, ensure exchange of information among them, promote rich Turkish culture, take measures to extend mutual cooperation in the sphere of economic development and find ways of solution to common problems of Turkic states and communities.
Representatives of Turkish-speaking peoples living in Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Mongolia, republics of Russian Federation Altai, Bashkortostan, Chuvashia, Dagestan, Kabardin-Balkar, Tatarstan, Karachai-Cherkess and Crimea, Romania, Bulgaria, Kosovo and Western Trakya region of Greece, Kumik, Nogay, Northern Cyprus, Gagauz and Ahiska Turks will participate in the congress. Representatives of Turkish communities in the US, Idel-Ural, Siberia, Near East and Afghanistan, parliamentarians, heads of public unions and NGOs, influential Azerbaijani and Turkish communities in foreign countries have also been invited to the congress.
About 550 guests from 30 countries have been invited to the event.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the ninth president of Turkey Suleyman Demirel, as well as state and government officials of Turkic states are expected to participate in the opening of the congress.
Turkish-Speaking States and Communities Friendship, Brotherhood and Cooperation Foundation (TUDEV) has been organizing the Friendship, Brotherhood, and Cooperation Congress of Turkic States and Communities since 1993. All ten congresses were held in Turkey.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev attending the 10th congress in Antalya offered holding the next Friendship, Brotherhood, and Cooperation Congress of Turkic States and Communities in Baku.
Friendship, Brotherhood, and Cooperation Congress of Turkic States and Communities will be held outside Turkey for the first time. /APA/
