Nazim Ibrahimov holds press conference on results of his visit to Germany

Mr. Ibrahimov participated in the meeting of Executive Committee of European Azerbaijanisâ€™ Congress and meeting of World Azerbaijanisâ€™ Congress in Cologne.
The Committee chairman highly appreciated establishment of Advisory Council of Azerbaijani Diaspora Organizations and two-year action program of the European Azerbaijanisâ€™ Congress.
Sharing his opinions about the 9th meeting of World Azerbaijanisâ€™ Congress Nazim Ibrahimov said the event was held in democratic conditions and added that they will jointly work on all issues, except the issue on South Azerbaijan.
â€œIran is our neighbor and friend, therefore we can not interfere with their internal affairs. We are ready to cooperate with the World Azerbaijanisâ€™ Congress in all other issues,â€ he said.
Ibrahimov said that the head of Mainz municipality after having visited Baku started propagation on Azerbaijan in his country. He said Yenz Botel has sent letter named â€œWhere is Baku?â€ to 147 thousand electors in Mainz.
The chairman of the Committee said that Azerbaijani Diaspora units will continue cooperation with Jewish Diaspora Organizations after it. Ibrahimov stating that he met with one of the famous representatives of Jewish Diaspora Ishak Nazarian lately said that this manâ€™s cooperation with Azerbaijan is very important issue.
â€œHe has been interviewed by APA recently. He publicized his thoughts regarding Azerbaijan in that interview. This man has great influence in the US, Israel. He renders assistance to more than five thousand students for studying in various countries of the world in a year. Nazarian told me that he is ready to assist Azerbaijani Diaspora,â€ he said.
The chairman of the Committee said that some of our compatriots living in America do not regard themselves Azerbaijanis. These people are Iranian Azerbaijanis.
â€œOur compatriots who are united in one great organization in California regard themselves not Azerbaijanis, but Iranians. We want them to be close to Azerbaijani Diaspora,â€ he said. /APA/
