No Azerbaijani has been detained after the new migration law came into force in Russia on April 1, Azerbaijani embassy in Russia told the APA.
The embassy said that Azerbaijanis working in Russia are informed of the problem. The officers of the diplomatic office raided some markets. The markets have been emptied, the kinds of products reduced and prices increased. The analogous situation is observed in the markets in St. Petersburg. Azerbaijani consulate general in St. Petersburg said our compatriots do not face any problems.
Officers of Russian Federal Migration Service are not raiding the markets. The press service said that about 1 million labor migrants have been registered since the beginning of the year. /APA/
