European orientalist Ivan Meznik arrives in Azerbaijan

Baku â€“ APA. European orientalist Ivan Meznik arrived in Azerbaijan at the invitation of International Diaspora Center. Press service told APA that a roundtable on deportation and genocide was held in the International Diaspora Center with participation of the guest. Chairman of International Diaspora Center Ismayil Agayev gave information about the relations of the center with the European countries. Touching on deportation and genocide Agayev expressed his views about the appeals filed by the Azerbaijanis to the European Court of Human Rights for protection of their rights violated by Armenia. Deputy chairman of the center Vali Aliyev noted that western Azerbaijanis were deported from their native lands, the territory of present Armenia by Armenian and Russian Bolsheviks in 1905-1918, 1948-1953 and 1988.
Ivan Meznik said he got more detailed information about Armeniaâ€™s aggression against Azerbaijan and deportation of the Azerbaijanis from their native lands. Meznik said the Azerbaijani people have the key to the fair solution of the genocide committed by Armenians against Azerbaijanis and deportation. European professor, who delivers lectures in 14 universities of the world, said he will inform the public and media of his country about the deportation and genocide of Azerbaijanis, Khojaly happenings.
At the end of the roundtable books about the deportation, genocide, Nagorno Karabakh conflict prepared by Heydar Aliyev Foundation were presented to the European guest. The European guests will visit mass grave site in Guba tomorrow.
