Azerbaijan 28 May Republic Day ceremonies outside of Canadian municipalities

Baku â€“ APA. Solemn events on the occasion of the Azerbaijan national holiday â€“ 28 May Republic Day were held outside of the mayorâ€™s offices in Toronto, Ottawa and Edmonton, Canada, press service of the State Committee for Diaspora Activities told APA. The national flag of Azerbaijan was raised in front of the municipalities under the sound of national anthem and official meetings were held at the mayorâ€™s offices. Representatives of the Azerbaijan State Committee for Diaspora Activities, members of the Ontario parliament Reza Moridi and Monte Quinter, officials of the Toronto Mayorâ€™s Office, member of the city municipal council M. Feldman addressed the event. The representatives of the Azerbaijan State Committee for Diaspora Activities and members of the Assembly of Canada-Azerbaijan Organizations were invited to the Ontario parliament after the event in Toronto. They met with the members of the parliament, who actively participate in the solution of the problems of Azerbaijanis living in Canada.
