28 May â€“ Republic Day to be marked in Komsomolsk-Amur

Baku â€“ APA. Azerbaijani Diaspora organizations will hold an event dedicated to 28 May â€“ Republic Day in Komsomolsk-Amur, the city in Khabarovsk region of Russia, APA reports. Komsomolsk-Amur-based Human Resources Public Union and International Diaspora Center (IDC) will organize the event. On Wednesday, the Azerbaijani delegation held a meeting in the Human Resources Public Union (HRPU) office. The union president Vagif Abbasov and his assistant Sarkhan Aliyev said there were many Azerbaijanis in Khabarovsk region and their Diaspora organizations played an important role in the socio-political and cultural life of the country. Chairman of the International Diaspora Center Ismayil Aghayev, professor Vagif Arzumanli, head of the National Non-Governmental Organizations Forum Rauf Zeyni, artist Shamistan Alizamanli, representative of the Human resources Public Union in Azerbaijan Alamdar Nabiyev spoke about the role of Diaspora organizations in popularization of Azerbaijan in the world. Then HRPU and IDC signed an agreement on cooperation. IDCâ€™s visit to Khabarovsk was on the focus of local media too. Local televisions reported about the visit. IDC leaders will hold meetings in the Komsomolsk-Amur Mayorâ€™s Office on Thursday. The city officials also expected to attend the 28 May â€“ Republic Day event in the Friendship Center tomorrow.
