Azerbaijani student defends doctorate thesis on human rights in Strasbourg University

Strasbourg. Fuad Gulubayli â€“ APA. Student of the faculty of law of Strasbourg University, Azerbaijani Dilbadi Gasimov defended doctorate thesis on human rights, APAâ€™s Europe bureau reports. He is the first Azerbaijani student to get doctoral degree on law in Strasbourg. Dilbadi Gasimovâ€™s doctorate thesis is about the activity of the Council of Europe Anti-torture Committee. Four-member scientific board highly assessed his thesis and granted him doctoral degree on civil law. Representative of the Council of Europe Anti-torture Committee in Belgium, lawyer Marc Neve said such a scientific thesis was written about the committee for the first time and welcomed the doctorate thesis written by the Azerbaijani student within three years.
