A Host Country Agreement was signed between Azerbaijan and the UN Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), the official X account of COP29 posted, APA reports.
The COP29 President-Designate, Mukhtar Babayev and Simon Stiell, Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) signed the Host Country Agreement.
It was noted that this is the final stage of preparations for the successful implementation of COP29, which will be held in Azerbaijan in November: "The agreement underlines Azerbaijan's commitment to organize an accessible, inclusive and transparent conference where all voices will be heard, the needs and priorities of all parties will be reflected."
