Kazakhstan is interested in cooperation in the fields of green energy, atomic energy, and IT, said the co-chair of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan’s Minister of Transport, Nurlan Sauranbayev, at the 21st meeting of the Commission, APA reports.
The minister emphasized the importance of regional cooperation in the transportation of green energy: “An important issue is the trilateral agreement in the field of ‘green energy’ signed in Baku in November 2024 by the presidents of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Uzbekistan. We are also ready to cooperate in the peaceful use of atomic energy.”
Noting that the modern economy is already inseparable from digital technologies, Sauranbayev also mentioned that there are broad opportunities for cooperation in this field: “We are ready to work with our brother Azerbaijan on joint IT projects and the establishment of research centers on artificial intelligence. This is not only about technology exchange but also about building a digital trust environment.”
The minister added that Kazakhstan appreciates Azerbaijan’s leadership in climate diplomacy. In his speech, he emphasized that Kazakhstan highly values the outcomes of COP29 held in Baku and appreciates Azerbaijan’s leadership in climate diplomacy.
“We support international principles on human development and climate sustainability and are ready to jointly implement ‘green energy’ projects in the Caspian Sea basin,” he said.
