According to her, the Russia militants did not allow Mustafa Jemilev entering the peninsula. Jemilev told his compatriots he would not leave checkpoint until he will be allowed returning to Crimea. Thereafter, the militants allowed Crimean tatars returning back and Jemilev went back to Ukraine.
After Jemilev has been banned to enter Russia, the well-known presenter of Russian Channel One TV Maksim Shevchenko told APA that he condemns it: “Any persons submitted papers to Jemilev and menaced him on the border. Russian government is not related to this incident”.
Shevchenko says as in all non-stable regions, groups with different interests operate in Crimea: “They impose any restrictions without agreeing with Russia. I think that banning of Crimean politicians headed by Mustafa Jemilev to enter Crimea contradicts Russian interests”.
