Russian senator Dmitry Rogozin has stated that both sides on the Ukrainian front have reached a stalemate, APA’s Moscow bureau reports, citing the “ЕЖ lab” Telegram channel.
Rogozin believes the Ukrainian and Russian armies have achieved parity in terms of forces and equipment, making any advance on the front virtually impossible, as any equipment or infantry within 20 kilometers of the front line is destroyed.
The Russian senator said that the entire war is being waged mainly at the tactical level, with 3–5-man assault groups of men of the same age carrying out operations in completely mined fields, while drones buzz overhead, and these groups try to fire at the drones using armor and machine guns. According to him, it is not only impossible to launch an attack anywhere, but even to move from one’s position.
Rogozin stressed that any military equipment within 20 kilometers of the contact line is immediately destroyed by both the Russian and Ukrainian armies.
“This is a deadlock, the problem of positional warfare. That is, in terms of equipment, training, and even motivation, the forces are approximately equal,” the Russian senator said.
He specifically mentioned the Kherson region, including the Dnipro River. According to Rogozin, as soon as either side approaches the riverbank, the enemy is destroyed, and under such conditions, crossing the Dnipro is out of the question.
