The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has accused Armenia of disregarding ethical standards by publishing correspondence between heads of state without their consent, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.

Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian MFA, addressed the issue at today’s briefing regarding a letter sent by former Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan to Russian President Vladimir Putin related to the former Karabakh conflict.

According to her, Yerevan violated ethical standards by disclosing working materials of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs and correspondence between heads of state without their consent.

It should be noted that the Armenian government has published documents related to the former Nagorno-Karabakh conflict negotiations. A total of 13 files have been posted on the government’s website. Among them are the document discussed in Kazan in 2011, the mediators’ proposals submitted in 2019, and a letter from the third president Serzh Sargsyan to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in August 2016.

Recall that some time ago, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that he would publish documents on negotiations regarding the former Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
