Moscow's Savelovsky District Court has dismissed the lawsuit against People's Artist of Russia and famous pop singer Alla Pugacheva over her statements about Dzhokhar Dudayev, the then president of the unrecognized Republic of Ichkeria, APA's Moscow bureau reports, citing TASS.
The court has dismissed the lawsuit filed by lawyer and war veteran Alexander Treshchev against singer Alla Pugacheva over her statements about Dudayev.
Treshchev asked the court to recognize that the information disseminated by the defendant is untrue and that the plaintiff, as a Russian citizen, war veteran, and patriot of his country, was slandered, as well as to demand a refutation from the defendant and compensation for moral damage.
Treshchev asked the Prosecutor General's Office and the Investigative Committee to investigate Pugacheva's interview for possible violations of Article 205.2 (open calls for terrorist activities) of the Russian Criminal Code.
A request was also made to freeze her accounts in the Russian Society of Authors pending a possible investigation.
Note that in the spring of 2022, after the start of the Ukrainian war, Pugacheva and her family moved from Russia to Israel. Her life partner, Maxim Galkin, was recognized as a foreign agent in Russia for his views against the war with Ukraine. Some time ago, Pugacheva gave a 3.5-hour interview to the YouTube channel "Skaji Gordeyev". In that interview, the Russian singer said that she knew Dudayev as a worthy and honorable person and regretted that she could not prevent his death.
