European countries have not asked Russia to restore or increase energy supplies due to the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov said, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
Answering journalists’ questions on the matter, the Kremlin spokesperson said that no such request had been received from European Union countries.
“You know that we currently have buyers of our oil, including Hungary and Slovakia, which are facing blackmail from Ukraine. I mean the blackmail related to the deliberate blocking of supplies through the Druzhba pipeline,” Peskov noted.
Peskov also stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin will receive Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó at the Kremlin today. He said that Kyiv’s blocking of supplies via the Druzhba oil pipeline will be discussed at the meeting.
