Moscow–APA. “Considering the direct relation of the peace and security in the Eurasian region to the stability in the Caucasus, Russia and Turkey urge to take effective measures to settle “frozen conflicts” that could destabilize the situation in the South Caucasus”, says the joint declaration signed by Russian and Turkish presidents Dmitriy Medvedev and Abdullah Gul in Moscow, APA reports quoting RIA-Novosty.
The presidents characterized the Turkey’s proposal of the Caucasian Cooperation and Stability Platform, in this context, as a constructive initiative completing the international mechanisms directed toward elimination of distrust between the sides involved in the solution to the “frozen conflicts”.

Russian President Dmitriy Medvedev said there was no need in interference of the third countries in the solution of Caucasian problems. “The August crisis last year showed how important the coordination between the regional countries during such threats is and how we can to overcome such problems without outside interference”.
