Four killed and 24 injured in Nazran terrorist attack

Nazranâ€“APA. Terrorists killed during a special operation in Nazran were suicide bombers planning the large-scale terrorist attacks in Ingushetia. APA reports quoting Kommersant newspaper that the security forces surrounded the terrorists, who fired on the police officers, in one of the Nazranâ€™s elite districts. The security forces used armored vehicles in the anti-terror operation. The terrorists ended fire after one-hour shooting. A strong explosion took place when the police entered into the building. The blast seriously damages nearby buildings too and experts said it was 70 kg TNT-equivalent explosion. Four security servicemen were killed and 24 injured in the explosion. Three terrorists expected to hide in the building, but only body was found at site. He was identified as local resident Hasan Mutaliyev, 33.
Four 200-litre steel barrels, filled with aluminum powder and niter and connected with a detonator, were found in the yard. Two land mines were found in the luggage of the car there. The explosives were disarmed at site. The exploded house reportedly was owned by former staff member of the Ingushetiaâ€™s emergency ministry Sultan Chichkiyev, who is wanted now. It is investigated how the terrorists could enter into the Chichkiyevâ€™s house. Ingush president stated last week about the plans of terrorist attacks in Ingushetia and detection of two male and one female terrorists.
