Collective Security Treaty Organization to establish united army

Russian President Dmitriy Medvedev said CSTO members, including Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan considered it necessary to create united armed forces, APA reports. It is not clear when it will be established. Dmitriy Medvedev said the contingent would be deployed in Russia. Previously CSTO officials said that the forces would be deployed in the territory of own countries under the local defense organizations. Aide to the Russian president Sergei Prikhodko noted that the rapid response collective forces would be a part of the special assignment and emergency situations military contingents for prevention of military aggression, international terrorism and elimination of the crisis results.
