Kazakhstan devalues national currency

Astana – APA. The National Bank of Kazakhstan passed a decision to devalue the national currency tenge by 18 percent. APA reports that the National Bank is going to keep the currency at about 150 tenge to the dollar. The tenge fell 15 percent to 143 on the Kazakhstan stock exchange, from 121 per dollar yesterday. Devaluation of tenge will not exceed 10 percent for a long time.
