Baku. Vahab Rzayev-APA. Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov ordered each member of the Cabinet of Ministers to study at the Academy of Civil Service.

According to the president, they will be dismissed from their posts if they fail examinations following the course.

The Head of State believes that the reason for the slow implementation of reforms in Turkmenistan is the lack of preparedness of the Government members.

Berdymukhamedov stated that he will oversee the work of the Academy of Civil Service in person.

In early 2009, Berdymukhamedov dismissed the Minister of Social Welfare, Minister of Energy and Industry, Minister of Communications, Minister of Defense and the Chairman of the Border Service. Some officials were reprimanded.

The Academy will start admitting students from March 2, 2009.

These are the 2-year retraining of employees of state organizations, equaled to the second higher education degree, and 5, 4 and 2-month refresher courses for employees of state organizations, state employees in charge of commercial arbitration and staff of local government and self-governance bodies.
