APA’s correspondent reports from Moscow that Russian President Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and other state officials attended the parade.

More than 14,000 soldiers and officers paraded in the Red Square outside the Kremlin alongside more than 100 units of heavy equipment, including tanks, rocket launchers and armored vehicles to celebrate the 67th anniversary of victory in World War II. The parade started with the Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov’s report to President and Supreme Commander-in-Chief Vladimir Putin. Then the military orchestra played the national anthem of Russia.

Following the Russian president’s speech, drummers, flag carriers paraded in the Red Square. Then armored divisions, motorized rifle troops, landing troops, marines, internal troops, students of the military schools, missile troops with nuclear warheads followed them.

112 combat vehicles, T-90 tanks of ground troops, operative-tactical missiles, S-400 Triumph missiles were demonstrated in the parade.

Then Vladimir Putin and Dmitry Medvedev met with the veterans of the World War Two.
