Vladimir Putin inaugurated as Russian President â€“ <font color=red>PHOTOSESSION </font>

APAâ€™s correspondent reports that 3000 guests including deputy prime ministers, ministers, religious figures, politicians, media representatives, cultural, scientific and art figures attended the ceremony in Andreyev Hall of Kremlin.

The ceremony began with an honor guard bringing in the Russian flag and Constitution. Then outgoing president Dmitry Medvedev entered the hall and Vladimir Putin followed him.

Medvedev delivered a short speech and thanked everybody for their support during his presidency: â€œIt is a great honor to be Russian president. I am very glad that Vladimir Putin was elected Russian president. He is a very experienced personâ€.

Putin recited a brief oath on a red-bound copy of the Russian Constitution vowing to serve his country. Then chairman of the Constitutional Court Valery Zorkin declared Putin as the Russian president. A 30-gun salute was fired to the air.

Then Russian President Vladimir Putin delivered a speech.

Vladimir Putin gained 63.60% of votes at presidential elections in Russia on March 4. He will take the presidential office for the next 6 years.
