Baku-APA. A small plane crashed in southern Russia Wednesday, killing the pilot, the only person onboard, the regional emergency situations department said, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
The department received the information about the crash at 15:45 Moscow time, as the one-engine SP-30 plane, used for agricultural works, crashed near the town of Milkhailovka, Volgograd region.
Preliminary information showed the plane was spraying crops in strong winds and crashed from an altitude of five meters.
An investigators is underway.
This was the second accident involving a light aircraft this month after an SM-2000 crashed in Kaluga region west of Moscow, killing four people.
