Vladimir Putin meets with Georgian opposition leader Nino Burjanadze

Baku - APA. Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin met with leader of the "Democratic Movement - United Georgia" Nino Burjanadze. According to APA, Nino Burjanadze attended the opening ceremony of â€œWe Were Together in the Fight against Fascism!â€ monument in Moscow today. The monument is the analogue of the memorial of Glory, which was dismantled in Kutaisi, Georgia, a few months ago.
Two soldiers of the Soviet army, Yegorov and Kantaria are engraved on the monument, which was erected in Moscow under the initiative of the Russian PM. Moscow`s new mayor, Sergey Sobyanin and the head of the Georgians` Union in Russia, Mikhiel Khubutia were also attending the presentation.
After the ten-minute dialogues with leader opposition parties, Russian Prime Minister said he hoped that the monument, which was called the Reichstag, would become the beginning of a new stage in Georgia-Russian relations.
The head of the Russian government expressed his conviction that no one will ever be able to put the Russian and Georgian people at odds with each other or break spiritual ties uniting the two countries.
