APA reports quoting Russian mass media that driver of his official BMW died in the accident. Shamanov was hospitalized.
According to the instructions given by Defense Minister Anatoli Serdyukov, Shamanov will be taken to Burdenko Military Hospital in Moscow.
Interfax agency reports that Shamanov’s official car collided with an oncoming lorry MAZ. According to Russian Interior Ministry, though two citizens of Tajikistan in the lorry attempted to hide, they were detained. The fact is being investigated.
