Incessant rains caused disaster in Western Georgia

Natural disaster created a lot of problems in Khobi region. It caused water level rise in Rioni river and flood of houses. Strong waves inundated more than 100 houses in Patara Poti village. Water level reaches 1 meter in houses. Poultry are killed by the flood. Household appliances and corn fields are destroyed.

Officials of Georgian Interior Ministry and forces of region administration are mobilized on elimination of results of the natural disaster. Commission has been set up to count the damage.

Currently, rainfalls continue in the region. But level of Rioni river has decreased.
