11 dead, 3 missing in South Russia flooding

Baku-APA. The death toll has risen to eleven after a flooding in Russia’s southern Krasnodar Territory, a spokesman for the local administration said on Saturday, APA reports quoting RIA Novosti.
"According to the latest information, 11 people are dead and three are missing," he said.
Torrential rains in mountainous areas caused rivers to overflow, flooding 21 villages. About 300 people, including 70 children, were evacuated. Local authorities imposed an emergency status in the area.
The situation in the flooded area has stabilized and people are currently returning to their homes.
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev ordered Regional Development Minister Viktor Basargin to assess the damage caused by the flooding and take measures to help those affected.
Krasnodar Territory governor Alexander Tkachev said the flooding damage will be worth several hundred million rubles and pledged to pay compensations and eliminate consequences of the disaster as soon as possible.
